Painting Highlights

There is a video of the making of this painting. The title might be confusing ‘When Art Goes Wrong, Any Sane Person Would Quit.’ But, it is because the painting was extremely hard to finish, and I must have attempted at least 4 times. I’m extremely happy with the results.

These paintings are not made by using traditional painting methods. The images are drawn and then cut into wood using various tools. Colours are chosen and mixed carefully using acrylic paints and epoxy resin. I still call them paintings, even though at times they feel like objects, not quite sculptures and not quite paintings.
